West Seattle’s Cettolin House

Join SWSHS and Historic Resource Consultant David Peterson for a talk on West Seattle’s Cettolin House (4022 32nd SW), a newly designated Seattle Landmark (2023) that was recently in the path of the West Seattle light rail extension.
The Cettolin House was built in the 1920s and 1930s by Italian immigrant Fausto Cettolin and inspired by the architecture of his homeland. He worked as a steelworker at the nearby mill and spent decades working on the home and grounds in his off-hours. The designation of this unique house adds to our knowledge of Seattle’s Italian community.
David Peterson is a Seattle-based historic resource consultant with a degree in architecture from the University of Washington and 20 years of experience researching and analyzing historic properties. He is a member of the Society of Architectural Historians, Historic Seattle, Vernacular Architecture Forum, and Board Member of the Washington Courts Historical Society.
