2026 Spring Gala

Join the Southwest Seattle Historical Society for our Annual Spring Gala and Live Auction on Friday, April 10 from 6 to 8:30pm at Salty’s on Alki.

Click ‘Register Here’ (below) or select ‘Gala Registration’ on the left side bar to get started.

Our theme this year, Tides of History, acknowledges the critical role of history, history-makers, and history-keepers. It also celebrates the future of the Southwest Seattle Historical Society – including our upcoming museum overhaul – and our vision to transform how visitors experience the Log House Museum, where Duwamish Peninsula history lives and grows.

Hear from our guest speaker, Roger Evans, curator at the Washington State Black Legacy Institute and project lead for the Seattle Griot Project, which empowers and raises awareness of black history through the preservation and exhibition of black cultural heritage. In 2026, we continue our partnership with the Washington Black Legacy Institute, located at the Sanctury at Admiral. We will also be honoring special guests whose stories we will be exhibiting in our new exhibit.

We are proud to preserve the stories of the Duwamish Peninsula. Join us at Salty’s to support local history – while enjoying live music, a menu of heavy appetizers, a cash bar, and an exclusive Live Auction. Experience the future of the SWSHS on the eve of our permanent exhibition’s opening.
