#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. We ask that you consider donating to the Southwest Seattle Historical Society for #GivingTuesday, Tuesday, December 3. Donations are accepted at any time – comment #GivingTuesday in your donation!
Your support will allow the SWSHS to continue offering engaging public programs, like Words, Writers, Southwest Stories and Alki History Walking Tours, provide educational programming for hundreds of local students, care for over 10,000 historic artifacts, and welcome visitors from around the world to the Log House Museum, a City of Seattle Historic Landmark, located one block from Alki Beach, known to Coast Salish people as sbaqʷabqs, or Prairie Point.
Give today to fund SWSHS’s plans for 2025 and beyond, including a major overhaul of the Log House Museum’s exhibitions to design a permanent, interactive exhibit that will highlight the historical and cultural significance of Alki Beach, prioritize interactive museum experiences and the display of historical society artifacts, share diverse stories from across the Duwamish Peninsula, and extend to the exterior of the Log House Museum.
