Join us for Washington Museum Day and a preview weekend of our new, permanent exhibition!
Explore our new exhibit that highlights the historic significance of Alki Beach, shares stories of placemaking and community building by diverse communities across the Duwamish Peninsula, and describes how the waters around us have served as a barrier and connector.
Stay tuned for details about our grand re-opening celebration on August 20, 2026!
Free all-day activities celebrate the importance of historic preservation. Build your own time capsule; set off on a scavenger hunt; and learn about local history.
Museum Day, like other free programming, is supported by Sustaining Support and Public Free Access funds from 4Culture with additional support from the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
